Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken
4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (You can use chicken thighs for added flavor)
1/2 cup chicken broth
3/4 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Place the chicken breasts in your slow cooker, then sprinkle on the seasonings and gently pour on the chicken broth.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3 hours. Cook until the chicken is cooked through and pull apart tender. You don’t want to overcook, that will lead to dry, rubbery, chicken that no one likes.
Gently shred the chicken in the slow cooker using two forks. You may want to remove some liquid before shredding, but save it in case you want to add some back in.
Serve and eat as desired, or let cool to refrigerate. This recipe is great for easy chicken salads, sandwiches, wraps, chicken tacos if you use a taco seasoning, casseroles, soups, and more.
